Return to Home Free

November 28, 2024

I returned to the boat on November 25th with a long todo list and a lot of uncertainty.

On the 27th I replaced the wing/gen start batteries with basic sealed batteries and reinstalled same (with a lot of cleaning in the area too).

Worrisome is that the main engine start battery is going as well, perhaps from sitting too long? Those are almost new lifeline batteries and they should be in better shape.

The boat exterior is a bit of a mess, but I also cleaned the majority of that yesterday as well.

Food has been put aboard and other than some testing of systems, I am preparing to leave if I get a zarpe tomorrow which I am hoping to do.

I still have to figure out where immigration is at as well, but I will hopefully find that out as well tomorrow.

Today is US thanksgiving and there is a pot luck here at the marina and I will take something and enjoy some company despite being on my way out.

The plan is to head back to Colombia and then Aruba. Dropping my crew in Colombia.

A lot left to do before departing on Friday or Saturday.
