D-Day Sites

June 29 and 30, 2026

Visit Deauville, where coco Chanel got her start. There is no Chanel store there now, but Hermes…

Then a stay in Caen, but didn’t do much but walk around and have dinner.

Next morning a visit to D-Day sites and drive up the coast of Normandy.

Finally a visit to a Calvados farm. Calvados is apple brandy and the cider is good, but the brandy was not my favourite.
